All food for four people came out bland and tasted like it was microwaved. When we brought it up to the server, the management would not even come to our table and just told the server to give us the check. We used to come here all the time but there are major problems now and will never be back.

High quality; consistent; and an exceptional value. We've been to Canal Grille probably a dozen times in the last year, so we have a pretty good feel for the general quality and consistency of their food. It's as good as it gets amongst places in the under-$20 dinner range. Frankly, I always walk out of there amazed at the quality versus price you get here. Apps - We're generally not big on appetizers, but have had the calamari, crab rangoon, and spring rolls. All are excellent. Oh yeah - if you weren't aware of it, I believe it's a husband/wife restaurant where he's Asian and she's Italian. The menu reflects this fusion...in a great way. Soups - The Wedding soup is amongst the best I've had - not relying on loads of salt for flavor. In a bit of a twist, there are also chunks of fresh chicken to accompany the small Italian meatballs in it. The French Onion soup is also very good. Again, not relying on copious amounts of salt....but also not a particularly distinguished broth. It is solidly tasty and generous with the cheese topping. Salads - Typically mixed greens and a set up you'd generally find at an Italian restaurant, though there's not much in terms of 'accessories'. They do make their own White French dressing. Ask for crumbly bleu cheese on the greens? It's a wonderful combo of complex flavors. You could put it on a leaf of bland iceberg lettuce and feel like you're in heaven. Bread - Their only real downfall. Generic rolls or sticks are served only if you choose a salad as a side. It's the only reason I knocked a star off (I'd knock a half star off if possible). IMHO any really-really good restaurant, especially one serving so many great quality Italian dishes - needs to serve kick-arse bread, preferably baked on-site. You won't find any here. Disappointing. Entrees - We've had: Chicken Parm; Eggplant Parm; Blackened Chicken Alfredo; Chicken Spinach Aglio Olio; Blackened Shrimp/Scallops; Rib Eye; Prime Rib; Lemon Chicken; Sesame Chicken; Scrod; Blackened Grouper; Walnut-encrusted Grouper; Pan Seared Salmon. There's not much we haven't tried and have never been disappointed in the quality, flavor, or prep. Someone below reviewed they thought they microwave their food? Don't make me laugh. Many dishes in particular - Chic/Eggplant parm; the Lemon Chicken; the Sesame Chic; the Walnut-ecnrusted fish....all have been crispy and outstanding. And not to sound like a broken record - but nothing is overly salty....the downfall of way too many restaurants trying to overcome bland preparations. Everything here tastes fresh and house made. The Prime Rib is perfectly prepped - outstanding, tender and huge (they'll serve you a good 4-8 oz more than you've ordered, I'm convinced). But it's only served on Friday-Saturday and they run out early more often than not. Get there early if you want a serving. Oh yeah - they pound/tenderize their ribeye so it comes out fairly flat and much larger across than you might be accustomed to, but it's prepped to-order and very tender and tasty. Sides - The pastas I'm sure are not created on site, but the sauces are very good. Marinara; Aglio Olio; Alfredo - are all excellent. A baked potato will be huge and well-prepped. But the signature side is their Asian stir-fried Green Beans. It's worth buying an extra side of these and sharing amongst your table. They're fresh, tasty, and done al dente with a nice bit of crunch left in them. Excellent. Desserts - They don't make their own (I asked), but the quality is pretty darned good. We've only tried the cheesecake with fruit toppings....and it was very good, if not excellent. Overall a 5-star rating with just a couple of weaknesses (bread; lack of home made pasta like Cavatelli; fairly innocuous salad greens). The fact little on the menu exceeds $15 is amazing. People know about this place - and they get slammed on Friday and Saturday nights. Get a reservation if you're thinking of those dinner times.

Another Friday at the Canal Grille. I swear I'm addicted to the beer batter cod. My youngest and I have been coming every Friday for a very long time. My little 12yo foodie got the spaghetti and meatballs and was very pleased which is hard to do as she is very picky about her marinara. This time the owner surely recognizing us from our repeat visits brought us out complimentary plate of crab Rangoon which I can tell were the best I've had by far anywhere. What a great surprise! My daughter also agreed with me eating almost all of them. Also not an easy trick to pull off. As always we received great prompt service from our friendly server. Such a treat right in our back yard. I went to a newer restaurant that recently opened that shall remain nameless and despite its beautiful "setting in the park" it doesn't even come close to being half as good as Canal Grille and Canal Grille does it for a fraction of the price. See you next Friday!

Went in January broccoli was dry fish was all you can eat wasn't really impressed with service or fish. Went there years ago thought it declined since my last visit will be many more years till I return again I don't like to be rude to my server but I was getting close to missing my movie because it took to long for the check...I still tip nice because I too rely on tips not her fault entirely just slow ending sorry but it took some time just to write it been busy maybe again I'll come back not in the near future.

Service was slow, I ordered blackened grouper and it came out in a whole filet of a thickness of a quarter inch I don't think baby groupers are that small . I am just wondering what I ate

I needed a restaurant midway between Copley and Massillon, and this place seemed to fill the bill. I had low hopes for it. It was located in a strip mall (not the cute downtown) decorated in the usual cheesy ohio family restaurant style. I ordered fish and chips, and it was probably one of the better versions of that dish I've ever had. The crust was light and fried to perfection and the fish inside was not soggy. Everyone else liked their food too. So if you need a serviceable american food spot in Canal Fulton, this will definitely do.

The Canal Grille is by far the nicest restaurant in Canal Fulton. I've eaten there on many occasions. Their selection has something for everyone, whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or having a nice dinner out. Prices are reasonable and food quality superb (especially the hamburgers). If were going to eat out as a family Canal Grill seems to always comes up as one of the first few suggestions.

Our server Denise was WONDERFUL! She was so sweet, attentive and accurate. The food was delicious and the menu selection was a great variety. Only feedback is that the dining room smelled a little funky coming in but that went away quickly.

I come here every few months just for the walnut crusted grouper, but since I am expecting, I decided to go with the pecan crusted sole. The fish was moist and hot on the inside and crunchy with the perfect amount of seasoning on the outside, as usual. Do not expect to get their fish and drown it in sauce, it is perfection on its own. Also, the white French dressing is amazing and service is almost always given with a smile, but sometimes a little slow, as the servers get busy. The great thing about this restaurant is that no one ever stands around doing nothing. If you would like good fish at a really reasonable price, this is the place. It definitely beats Bone Fish Grille and Sylvester's in the fish department. The food is excellent and the service is not slow enough to keep me from coming back. Definitely a must in Canal Fulton.

Here out of town for lunch - I acquired a property in the area. Heard it was a good restaurant from talking to the local people in the area. Had sesame chicken - comes with a salad or soup. Salad very fresh and delicious - sesame chicken cooked very well with good assortment of veggies along with rice. Service was VERY good - server was very helpful in getting me a booth with a electrical outlet so I could use my laptop to get work done during lunch. Food was prepared very quickly, but also done with quality. Interiors are decorated nicely as well. Definitely a good place to go for lunch.

This is another example of don't judge a book by its cover. It feels like a very basic restaurant - the decor/ambiance is nothing special. But the food is very good. Their signature veggie are green beans (i know...) and they are among the best I've ever had. This place also boasts one of the BEST values I've ever had at a restaurant as well. The prices are ridiculously low for the quality of food they are pushing out. Everything I've had here has been good and they serve some pretty good drinks too. Save a buck and have a good meal at Canal Grille.
